REMINDER OF ANNUAL REUNION FOR ALL DESCENDANTS OF JOHN PACK

Friday, August 10, 2012:

We will be holding a special reunion in Kamas UT to learn about and commemorate our heritage in and around Kamas.

10:00 am–Meet at Stake Center at 100 W Center, Kamas. We will visit historic Pack homes and see Pack artifacts at ‘Daughters of Utah Pioneers’ museum.
12:00 pm–Potluck lunch at park at 400 S Main, Kamas
After lunch ‘geocache’ additional Pack historic sites in the area. Bring your GPS, if you have one.

Go back to park for additional fun/socializing as desired.

Saturday, August 11, 2012:

Traditional John Pack Family Reunion at ‘This Is The Place Heritage Park.’ in Salt Lake City.

8:00 am to 11:00 am–Family History meeting at the Family History Library (note location is not at the park, but is at 35 N West Temple St, Salt Lake City, UT). All descendants of John Pack are invited to attend, regardless of genealogical expertise.
9:00 am to 11:00 am–(concurrently, for those not interested in the family history meeting) enjoy the many wholesome recreational family activities the park has to offer. As a John Pack descendant, admission to the park venues is half price.
11:00 am–Registration and kid activities at the Smoot Hall (Smoot Hall is the first builing inside the main gate). Admission to the reunion (Smoot Hall and John Pack home) is free, just tell them at the gate you are there for the John Pack reunion.
12:00 pm–Lunch at Smoot Hall. Please bring your own sack/box lunch.
1:00 pm–Reunion activities at Smoot Hall.
3:00 pm–Ice cream social in the John Pack home. Provided by the John Pack Family Association.
5:00 pm–Park closes.

The new John Pack book will be available for pickup/purchase.

Feel free to come to as much or as little of both days activities as fits your schedule.
